I have always found creating art to have a great deal of benefits such as enjoyment, de-stressing after a long day, creating memories that will last and last, contemplating, as well as leading to lifelong friendships with fellow artists. I used to live between New York and Philadelphia where I would easily go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Frick Museum, and many others to see artist works I admired. I viewed Frida Kahlo, Delacroix, J.M.W. Turner, Edward Hopper, and so many others. I was in heaven. In these days I carried a sketchbook about and sketched constantly.

     My love for art continued throughout life and in 2000 I took classes at the Baum School of Art in  Pennsylvania. This was my first structured oil painting course. I was hooked. This led to going to New York City to take classes at the Art Students League. I felt so inspired being around such talented teachers and students and attending a school that leaned toward personal expression in art. Creating is a journey that has such an impact on my well-being.
